Scope of the Integration
The Galaxy bridge handles four primary data flows: stock and pricing from Galaxy to WooCommerce, order data from WooCommerce to Galaxy, product catalogue updates from Galaxy to WooCommerce, and customer account data synchronisation for B2B account holders. Each flow has its own queue, processor, and failure handling logic — isolated so that a problem in one flow does not affect the others.
B2B Account Integration
The integration surfaces Galaxy credit limit data in the WooCommerce B2B checkout — customers with approved credit accounts can place orders against their Galaxy credit line, with available credit checked in real time against the ERP before order confirmation. This eliminates manual credit approval workflows that previously required operations team intervention on every B2B order.
Scale and Reliability
The system processes thousands of synchronisation events daily across stock updates, order transmissions, and catalogue changes. The queue architecture absorbs Galaxy API latency spikes without blocking the WooCommerce storefront — all ERP communication is asynchronous except the credit check, which uses a timeout-protected synchronous call with a graceful fallback to manual approval if the API is unavailable.
